The Story
AIM are a high energy R&B (that's good ol'
fashioned, original Rhythm/Rock & Blues) covers band from Surrey.
Formed in the early days of 2005, AIM have built a reputation as a
quality band with an ever growing following of loyal fans.
After meeting at a jam night, Graham, Nick and
Trevor embarked a journey to create the most popular, and hardest
working band in the business. Having failed miserably, they recruited
the help of Edd, Richard and Roger - that didn't help either, but it was
fun. It was only then, after deciding that they didn't
want to play the "same ol' crap" as every other band, that they began to
explore the musical taste of all six musicians to create an eclectic and
entertaining repertoire, to set them apart from the rest. In 2008
Sinclair stepped into Roger's shoes as our lead guitarist.
Since then AIM have regularly toured Surrey and
Hampshire gigging in pubs, high-streets, beer gardens and fields full of
intoxicated hockey players; as well as being privileged to be invited to
play Guilfest '06. The gospel of AIM, it seems, has also spread to
Europe, and consequently they were asked to play "Bratronsky dzban" a
yearly music event just outside Prague, where they didn't fail to impress.
Currently AIM are booking up gigs for the coming
months, and while not practising the old favourites, they are slowly
working on more diverse and challenging material, in order to keep the
set fresh and satisfy an ever growing audience.
