Eddie's Big Four-O Birthday Hop
Here's the big news ... Eddie - "the man at the back who makes your toes tap" - is 40 this year - this month! In fact he'll be turning 40 on midnight of the 14th August. That's the AIM gig at the Camphill Club, West Byfleet. Now for some strange reason he wants to celebrate this event, and he wants you to help.
And if that wasn't enough of a reason then it will also be Nick's first time back on stage with us since the bionics department at St Peters Hospital put a metal frame around his leg.
So please please come along to the big birthday hop and help Eddie celebrate his BIG FOUR OH.
There are road works that have closed Camphill Road at the bridge. You can get to the club only from the West Byfleet end. We will check this again on Thursday and send out an update.
13th August ... AIM Traffic & Travel reports that the roadworks haven't moved and that The Camphill Club can still be accessed from the W.Byfleet end - at the junction with Parvis Road / Old Woking Road. Camphill Road is closed to traffic under the bridge though so the club can't be reached on that road from the New Haw end.
New Video
Well after a ton of frustration I've finally got to grips with our new media player and its idiosyncrasies. So, if you make your way over to the Watch & Listen page you'll find a new video or two (depending on how long it's been since you've been there). Thanks go to Kate and John for their generous efforts in not only taking these videos, but also in burning them to disc and getting them to us.
The Kazoo Is Back
Those at the Royal Oak on Saturday 15th witnessed the raw emotion when man and kazoo were finally reunited in melodic harmony. After a few initial puffs to remove the dust and evict the spiders, the full splendour of the vintage instrument sounded out. And what a change it made - Radar Love sounds right again.
Come and Support a New Venue
If you've been keeping tabs on the gig guide, and receiving your AIM emails, then you'll know that on Saturday 8th May we're gigging at The White Hart in Farncombe. This is a new venue for us and quite a new music venue full-stop. So please, dust off your rock garb and come down to The White Hart (details over there on the left under "Next Gig") and lets have a rockin' party.
