Band Biogs

Late in 2004, having met at the then regular jam at the White Lyon (now running every Sunday at The Cricketers, Row Town, near Addlestone), Graham, Nick and Trevor embarked upon a journey to create the most popular, and hardest working (really!) band in the business.  Having failed miserably, they recruited the help of Edd, Richard and Roger - that didn't help either, but it was fun.  It was only then, after deciding that they didn't want to play the "same ol' crap" as every other band, that they began to explore the musical taste of all six musicians to create an eclectic and entertaining repertoire, to set them apart from the rest.  In 2008 Sinclair stepped into Roger's shoes as our lead guitarist.

You'll find a few more interesting (or not so interesting) words on each of the guys by following the links below.

Graham : Vocals

Graham is one of the original AIM line-up.

Graham uses:

Trevor : Vocals

Trevor is one of the original AIM line-up.

Trevor uses either a Shure Beta87A or a Shure Beta58 mic, depending on which one is functional. (and contrary to popular belief, he does not use Harmony).

"The Sink" aka Sinclair : Lead & Rhythm Guitar

Some say his strings are spun from the hand-plucked hairs of the goddess Athena, and that his axes can cut down columns of steel with a single swing.  All we know is that he's called "The Sink".

Sink grew up in Scotland, about an hour's drive north of Inverness.  Perhaps it was the long, cold nights that gave him the opportunity to practice, or perhaps he just pulled a charmed guitar from a frozen lake.  Whatever it is, Sink provides AIM with a focal point of musical inspiration.  He uses very little in the way of effects when playing live, relying more upon what he creates with his fingers.  His speed, precision and dexterity never cease to amaze the rest of the band and our audiences as he produces stunning improvised solos.

Sink uses:

Nick : Rhythm & Lead Guitar

Nick, our rebel without a cause.  A member of the original AIM line-up, Nick is the core of the AIM sound.

Nick uses:

Eddie : Drums

"The man at the back that makes your toes tap" ... as Graham has been known to occassionally call him.  Eddie is a powerhouse of a drummer and a constant source of musical inspiration for the band.

Eddie uses:

Richard : Bass

Having spent 25 years toying with various acoustic and electric guitars, Richard finally threw in the towel, cut two strings off and discovered the joy of playing at the bottom end.  Since that fateful day his bass has led him on an exciting journey through the blues, pop and country to heavy rock.
