Info for Venues
If you're a venue thinking of booking AIM we hope you'll find the following information useful.
It's A Full Show
Although playing music is our driving passion, for your customers it's a night's entertainment. So as well as playing great music to feast the ears, we also bring our own lights and visuals. This helps to make it a show to remember.
Marketing
As soon as gig is confirmed we will add it to our gig guide on this website. We also use Lemonrock to promote the band, our gigs, and the venues in which we play. Via this site we have an email list of fans that we notify of upcoming gigs. We also maintain a list of local press and radio contacts and notify them about 2 to 3 weeks before a gig; this allows for the lead times required by printed media. About four 4 weeks before a gig we will send you 10 posters to promote the gig in your venue. You can download this poster from this website should you require more, or should you want the four-to-a-page version to put on the bar or tables. To download a poster, go to the gig guide, click on the date of your gig, and look for the attachment(s).
Soundcheck & Safety
We want you involved in the soundcheck. We understand that volume controls can be turned down as well as up and want you, your staff and your customers to have a good night. The PA equipment we use has been designed to provide quality. By constantly running well within the capabilities of the system we never need to push it close to its limits and the uncomfortable distortion that goes with it.
All our equipment is insured with a reputable and specialist musicians insurance company to provide third party cover as well. We carry our own first aid kit and one of the band is first aid trained. We take power through our own RCDs ... electricity and beer are not happy bedfellows!
Arrival & Setup
The first time we play at your venue we will aim (boom boom) to arrive a couple of hours before the scheduled start of the gig. This gives us plenty of time to work out how to set up our sound and lights in your venure. When you invite us back we won't need so much time since we'll know the set up.
